For an upcoming Omni Corporation International event, students will develop a theme / tag line and graphical treatment to be used in the event slide and workbook/agenda. Students will also develop a motivational video that will be used to kick-off the event as well as a stage design. Lastly, students will pitch the concept to the customer team. This game provides students with excellent experience in event development.

Event Description:
NOTE: Prior to receiving the packet all team members will need to sign a document indicating that all provided materials and the resulting product are the property of Avnet Inc. and cannot be reused for any purposes if not explicitly approved by Avnet.
By Monday, February 15 registered student teams will be provided with the following materials regarding the event:
o High Level Event Description
o Event Objectives / Goals / Key Messages
o Event Attendee Demographic
o Deliverable Requirements:
o Theme / Tag Line
o Graphic treatment
o Workbook cover / Agenda
o Theme graphic slide (PowerPoint) to show on stage
o Motivational Video
o Stage Design
o Location of sample deliverables/raw footage from previous events
o Entry submission process
o Communication with game owner
A one-hour conference call will be scheduled on Thursday, February 18 at 2PM Arizona time and will be open for all teams to attend. This will be the executive sponsor’s opportunity to pitch the detailed requirements to all teams and will also allow for Q&A regarding the requirements. Each team should have at least one representative on this call. After the conference call students will have the option to ask further questions via a blog site or email and will have a contact at Avnet that will field those questions.
A follow-up one-hour conference call will be scheduled for Thursday, March 11 to assess team progress and address any open questions that the teams may have. Each team should have at least one representative on this call.
Student teams will then have until Friday, April 2 at 5PM Arizona time to prepare and submit the following key deliverables:
• Theme / Tag Line
• Graphic treatment (to be used in bumper slide and workbook cover)
• Theme graphic slide
• Workbook Cover
• Motivational video (1.5 minutes in length)
• Stage Design
Preliminary judging will occur by Tuesday, April 6 after which five teams will be selected as the finalists. Finalists will be announced by Wednesday, April 7 and each group will need to prepare a 20-minute presentation to pitch their concept to the customer on Saturday, April 10. Teams will be assigned a presentation time slot and will be able to view each other’s presentations. The winner will be announced at the Avnet Tech Games awards ceremony.
