Pecha Kucha

Love to be front and center? Then Pecha Kucha is for you! You don’t have to register for an onsite game to participate in this contest!

Here’s how it works: Each presenter has 15 slides, 20 seconds per slide, with a total of 5 minutes to present their topic. Choose your own topic. Yes, we mean it … choose your own topic! If it fits on 15 slides and you want to talk about it … do it! Just keep the content family friendly.

Rules:

• Teams of 1 or more

• Must be 18 years or older and enrolled in college

• Presentation can be no longer than 5 minutes.

• Presentations must be 15 slides with auto-advance set at 20 seconds.

• Presenter to pre-set auto-advance on slides.

• Slides must be in PowerPoint or PowerPoint-compatible format and on a flash drive/ thumb drive.

• Prepare a written summary (a paragraph will do) of your presentation and include your name and topic.

• Presenters will be chosen at random during the contest between 2 - 3 p.m.

• Those chosen to present on stage will each receive a prize.

Timeline and Deadlines:

• April 9, 11:50 p.m. - RSVP on Avnet Tech Games Facebook fan page under Events. If you do not RSVP on Facebook, you will need to sign in at the ATG Social Media table on April 10 between 7 – 9 a.m., with your summary and thumb drive.

• April 10, 11 a.m. - Submit a written summary (a paragraph will do) of your presentation at social media table between 7 – 11 a.m. Presenters must show student ID and sign a media release at the time they submit their summary.

• April 10, 1:55 p.m. – Be at the Pecha Kucha stage (UAT Amphitheatre outside) with thumb drive in hand to see if your name is pulled from the hat. You will have to be ready to present with (literally) a minute’s notice.
